J. Kaye’s Thoughts
I must live with my head in the sand because I have never heard of Scott Hilburn prior to this book. As politically incorrect as you can get, this cartoonist pokes fun at celebrities, commercial icons, animals and stuff I would never have thought about.
Definitely for adults, THE ARGYLE SWEATER is a little sick, a little twisted and a whole lot of funny.

I love his sense of humor! I haven't seen this collection yet, it's a good one for checking out of the library or for giving as a gift.
Sick and Twisted you say? I had to check him out! I hadn't heard of him either, he reminds me of one of my Fav's, Gary Larson, only with a bit more edge. I'm going to have to pick up this book now :D
Beth F ~ When I read about his background, it made me shake my head. I really need to get out more, cause I had no idea who this fellow was.
Icedream ~ Very much so. More than a few times I knew I shouldn't be laughing, but I was.
I haven't heard of him either, so I guess my head is in the sand, too.
LOL @ bermudaonion! Now I don't feel so bad!
You're not the only one J.Kaye! I've never heard of him before your post! Thanks for introducing me! lol I'll have to pick this one up!
You're too much!
xoxo AMY (Park-Avenue Princess)
I've never heard of him before either! Definitely adding this one to my library WL! :) Thanks for the review!
That's why I love reading your reviews, you have helped me pick out so many new authors to read!
Wow - this is great. I love it! I'm so getting his book for my best friends birthday. LOL. She'll flip.
Great humour! He is much like Gary Larson, I think (one of my absolute favourites).
I love Scott's cartoons, I know I'm a very sick idividual. I really like when you have to THINK about someones humor instead of having it thrust upon you like in today's sophomoric movies (potty humor).
Thanks Kaye for the review. Have a great week.
Beth & Park Avenue Princess ~ Doesn't it feel strange not to have heard of this guy? So glad I am not alone!
Kathy ~ This guy is really out there. The one with the duck calling 911 and the hunter in the background still has me chuckling.
Witch Baby ~ YES! This would go so well as a B-Day gift.
Dorte H ~ Then have you heard of Hilburn before?
Bill and Lorie Shewbridge ~ OMG! You rock! I had no idea who he was...now I have seen the light.
No, I just clicked on the Amazon icon and saw the examples. I can see Icedream agrees with me :) Very Larsonish.
Sounds like a great read actually :)
Dorte H ~ Now I gotta try Larson too...lol!
Miss Cindy ~ It really is.
