Those who sent in the required info for the Book Blogger Referral List should be getting offers for book, because I have sent the list to a lot of authors and publicity folks.
The other day, I decided to go through the ones who've been on the list the longest. It was to see if the blogs were active. To my shock, a few weren't. I'm aware by the mega complaints that not everyone is a hyper poster like me, but come on. Some haven't posted anything since March or April.
I went back over the list and removed book bloggers who hadn't posted anything in the last three weeks. That might not seem fair, but this is a referral list for promotional purposes for authors or publicists. You need to be active on a weekly basis.

Since you are the one keeping and sending out the list, if an author or publisher gets a list of non-active links it would look bad. You are doing all us bloggers a great service by giving referrals and it makes perfect sense that you need to maintain your own professional image while doing that.

Sorry, just read this,lol. Uh yeah, months without a post is a sign they aren't coming back for awhile. You have to look out for yourself and your reputation as a blogger. If someone isn't actively posting, you will be wasting precious referral space! As for hyper posting, I go one day with posting a few and then don't for a couple days. If people don't like it, well then they don't need to read your blog. It's that simple!
This sounds completely fair to me! I did have a small spurt of not posting for about a month and a half due to complete displacement (aka no home!), but I am back at it and finally getting caught up on my posts!! It feels so good to be back!! Anyways, I guess I am saying thank you in a round-about kind of way! I've received some requests thanks to you and I have completely enjoyed them!! It provides me with some free new stuff that has been much needed . . . though my current TBR pile may disagree!! :) Thanks for ALL you do!

As to the posting comment, I think book review blogs are slightly more irregular than some others. After all, our content comes from reading books, and some taker longer than others to read. Still, three weeks or even months is pushing it.
Okay, typo on my last comment!! I meant to say fresh new stuff NOT free (though that's a definite perk!) . . . maybe it was a bit of a Freudian slip afterall!! :)

I think that it is very fair. The people like me, and many other bloggers or keep their blog updated should get more reviews for their blog. I just got an e-mail yesterday for a book, I can not wait to get it!
