I love Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series. I know as soon as I open the book I am in for a good time. My family knows I am reading one of her books by the uncontrolled laughing coming from me in my reading chair. "She's reading one of those Plum books again." The characters are great, the plots are solid and not too heavy, and each book leaves you pining for the next one to be published.
Hey Lori! I think you meant to sign up? Yes? This is the post your review page. I moved you to the sign up page here: http://j-kaye-book-blog.blogspot.com/2009/07/new-challenge-20092010-stephanie-plum.html
If you ever get lost, look to the left sidebar. Click on the Reading Challenges and all the links available are listed. Sorry for the confusion and welcome to the challenge!
This looks like a fun challenge! I've read most of the Stephanie Plum series -- kind of like literary candy. ;-)
I'm not joining the challenge but will definitely have to add at least one of her books to my wish list as I've never read any of them....Sad, isn't it? Is there one in particular you could recommend for a Plum virgin?
Laughing Stars ~ "literary candy" definitely that!
Pam ~ Start with the first one of the series - ONE FOR THE MONEY. If that doesn't get you addicted, nothing will...lol!
Thanks! I wondered whether it was a series better read in order! I will definitely check them out!
Pam, she does give background info, but start at the beginning...it's priceless!
Will do! Don't know why I haven't yet...
Hey J. Kaye - Have you thought about picking up book four yet? Maybe I'll add it into my September schedule!!
J.Kaye! I LOVE the new avatar..it's TOO cute! I really want to start doing some of these challenges, I'm just so nervous that I'll do terrible! Can you believe I've never signed up for ONE? Yikes! That's a sin!!
xoxo Amy (Park-Avenue Princess)
I don't even know which ones I'd want to read. Should they be read in order? I mean obviously, but could you read them out of sequence? I know you say she gives background information...each book? Just the beginnning? Can they stand alone?
Best of luck with this one J.Kaye!

Pam ~ These are seriously addictive!
MarthaE ~ I haven't. I won't start them until later in the year. Working on getting some of the review books off the shelf first. Too many are piling up.
Park Avenue Princess ~ Just answered that above. Read the response to Pam. As far as the avatar, I am still playing around with it.
I read that she should start with one...but can each stand alone? I mean obviously it's probably better to read them in order, I was just curious!
And I think the avatar is cute! : )
It's weird, I used to be able to pick you out right away on my blog comments because of Maxine...so, it will take getting used to. But I think it's really adorable. The color itself is cute!

Park Avenue Princess ~ That's how I feel when other bloggers change their avatar, but Maxine isn't working on FB. Maybe I will try again.
I read the first one and really liked it. I'm going to have to get in on this one.
Rasberryswrlgirl ~ I really hope you do...I am getting ready for book four!
