I am still wanting to do this but would have a lot of back work to do... LOL
I have no idea what the count is on my reading this year.
Will there be a new challenge starting in Jan.? If so, I'll be sure to join!
I still haven't posted any review links for this challenge.
I have a lot of catch up work to do. Maybe I'll get it done this week when the husband goes hunting.
Sheila (bookjourney), oh, if you haven't been keeping a list, you are right. It would be a total pain! Start next year. :) I'll be having this again. In fact, this is year three.
Neas Nuttiness, for sure! And every year after that as long as I am blogging. ;)
Page (One Book At A Time), if it will make you feel any better, I haven't. I gave up around March...lol! I keep a list of the books I've read with links to the review. I'll also do a wrap up post at the end and that's all. I don't have time for anything else.
Do you have to have reviews for all the books you read for this challege? I have not had my blog up that long...
Posted my review for Chosen, House of Night series.
I've posted Untamed, a House of Night novel. Love these books!
Krista, no way! There are two that I didn't review the book...it was a research book and I was just too busy at the time.
Alaine - Queen of Happy Endings, awesome!
This has been a great challenge. It keeps me plugging along. I am about to hit the 50 mark though so I have quite a bit of reading to do to hit 100. I haven't been counting all of the children's books that I have been reading with squirt #2 though.
Your Family Constitution is an excellent parenting book, even for those of us who think we no longer need it!
I'm impressed that all of you are even attempting this! I have no idea how many books I've read this year but my guess would be around 30-40 at the most...
Oh cool because I have maybe five or so reviews up :) When I get all settled in to my new home I will make a blog post of the books I've read thus far and enter this challenge :) Thanks!
Just broke 30, so I still have a long way to go. Have to get reading! Or maybe I could just read really, really short books. Would that still count? *L*
Next year it is J Kaye - count me in :) It looks like fun!
Wow. I'm already seeing some great titles. Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, The Tear Collector, etc. Several I haven't heard of, at least one I know I want to read (The Book Thief)... Looking through the reviews is going to keep me busy - make that busier.
I didn't start blogging until I hit book 40 for the year. So, I officially have reviews up for 40 books (which doesn't seem possible)! I have 2 more books that I have to right reviews for. So that leaves me 18 books before I hit 100.
I have my list of what I've read on my site (and that's what is linked on the challenge page), that has to count for something right?
Ti, I am so glad! The "It's Monday! What are you reading?" post has helped me kept me on track of this challenge. I still didn't make my 200 goal and next year, I am not going to even bother. I plan to really, really slow down next year.
Alaine - Queen of Happy Endings, I'll be over in a bit to read the review!
Pam, there is a 50 book reading challenge somewhere. ;) That's what I started out with and when I made it to like 70 something, I decided to shoot for 100. Now keep in mind, I don't have small children. You do!
Krista, cool!
Alexia561, all books count! Even the read to me ones. ;)
Sheila (bookjourney), wonderful!
Jo, I had "The Tear Collector" in my Amazon cart for the next book I purchased until the author showed up on Mishel's blog. What he said was a total turnoff for me. I no longer care to read any of his books.
Page (One Book At A Time), all you need is a list of the books you read in 2009. When you hit 100, enter that link in the Mr. Linky box under the Completed List page here: http://j-kaye-book-blog.blogspot.com/2009/04/2009-100-reading-challenge-your.html
Hope I am making sense...lol.
Now if I could count children's books and of those, books read multiple times, I'd easily hit 1000, I'm sure! I mean, at least 3 a night times 365 - that's up there!
Pam, rereads count. ;)
Funny, I didn't sign up for this one because I didn't think I'd read 100 books but I am almost at 200 for the year right now! Should have signed up.
Debbie's World of Books, get out! That is awesome! It will be here in 2010. ;)
Posted review for The Last Wife of Henry VIII by Carolly Erickson, very entertaining read!
Slowly inching closer to the finish line, I think this is either no. 90 or 91 for this challenge. Review is up for along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen
Better check my count, I'm inching closer to the finish line. Posted review for This Pen For Hire by Laura Levine.
If there are two books I've read but not reviewed can they be counted J.Kaye?
One was Wait Until Twilight and the other is The Painted Veil. I do want to review it but I havent watched the movie yet LOL
Teddyree - most definitely! You do not have to review any of these books. I know it looks like I do, but there are two reference books I read and included, but didn't review.
Cool, thanks J.Kaye, it just means I'm even closer to the finish line. I'll be kind of sad to see this challenge finished :-)
Sick I know LOL
Teddyree - No worries! There will be one in 2010!
Shutter Island, thriller
Dramarama, YA fiction, theater, acting, friendships, romance
Proust Was a Neuroscientist, palatable science writing :-)
Blood of Ambrose, dark fantasy, Arthurian legends
The Snakehead: An Epic Tale of the Chinatown Underworld and the American Dream, Chinese human smuggling
Along for the Ride, YA fiction, divorce, fitting in, romance, female friendships
Chasing the Dead, horror/thriller, gory, quick read, won't keep you up at night
I just now found this review post. I am lazy and have always relied on your "Reading Challenges" sidebar item but it hasn't been linked yet.
Anyway, I don't want to be little miss complainer! I have read some great books this month and am quickly creeping up on 90!
Eat the Dark, horror/thriller, gory, quick read
World War Z, post apocalyptic zombie fiction
I am on my 94th book this year so I know I can do this next year so I will be on your list!! Can't wait. (Can I do a little pre-reading? We close from December 19th to January 2nd).
Tree of Smoke, Vietnam War, literary fiction, National Book Award Winner
Catching Fire, young adult fiction, dystopias, adventure, romance
Just posted a few more reviews. I wish I could remember to do this when I put them on my blog.
