I am going to sign up again, even though I was so lame about posting my reviews last year! I read more than 100 books, but it was hard for me to keep up on the "paperwork" side of things!

Thanks for signing up to follow Rose City Reader!

Is it okay if the reviews are super duper short? If so, I'll do it.

I am so excited to be a part of this now for a full year!

Yikes! This is complicated. Hope I'm doing it right! This should be fun for the year!

it's my first time signing up
wheww 100books are sure lots
only 365days so that means 1 book in every 3days? hmm

How do I get the McLinky thing on my side bar to list the books that I have read? Does it count if you read a book more than once. I read all the Twilight Series mulitple times last year. ( I know I'm lame.)

J. Kaye said...

Nocona - You aren't supposed to put a Mr. Linky in your sidebar. Mr. Linky is a widget to sign up for. You just list your titles...no widget is necessary for that.

Nocona said...

Where do I list them. THere was an icon on someone else's blog that had their reading list that is the Icon like at the top of the page that linked me to you. I just like the idea of keeping a list somewhere on my blog of the books I have read this year. Thanks for the follow.

Hey J. Kaye I'm psyched about my first challenge (I'm a new to blogging); however I'm a little nervous I didn't set it up right? I hope I did. But I'm excited and well on my way to tying to read
100+ books. Thx so much for giving me some motivation!

I am so excited to take part in this challenge! This is my first blog and my first time keeping up with every book I've read over the course of a year. Good Luck to everyone :-)

Hi J-Kaye,

I signed up for the challenge but for some reason i the link for the challenge button is giving some trouble. Can you assist?

Rachel said...

Hey Bookventures. I have taken over this blog for J. Kaye. Tell me what is going wrong with the button, and I'll see if I can help. The graphics wigged out when we did the blog transfer, so I made new buttons for all the challenges in case people want them. The instructions for adding the buttons are under the "Grab this picture link for your blog" link on the sign-up page. Make sure you only copy the code, and not the picture above or any text below. I added the same button to my other blog yesterday, and it worked (I tested them all). Let me know what is going wrong.

Hi rachel, thanks for responding. I am trying to copy and paste the link into my html/java box. Whenever i save it though i get an error message. I'll try again to see but that's what am getting.

Bookventures said...

Yep, still getting the error. Maybe am doing something wrong. Can you email me the link at bookventuresbookclub@gmail.com? Thanks in advance....

Oh and P.S thanks for joining my blog : )

I'm plugging along at this. Question - can I include a book I've read for my crit partner that isn't published yet?

John said...

Hello all! I don't know if this comment will be deleted or not - I'm hoping the later. I have written a Vietnam War Novel about my experiences in 1970 and have created a blog to introduce the book and share comments. Two blogs have already been written and additional side pages contain the actual book cover, summary and reviews. One page has a slide show with thirty actual pictures that follow the book. If all goes well, it will be published as an e-book by the end of April. I would be honored to have you look over my site and post comments. http://cherrieswriter.wordpress.com

Thanks in advance. / John

Hi all! My Vietnam e-book Cherries was published last night. A direct link is: http://smashwords.com/books/view/13437

Hope you do view it - there is a promotional code available on my blog site for 50% discount on price. Please let me know if anybody takes me up on this offer. Thanks! Http://cherrieswriter.wordpress.com

I'm hopping on this late, as I just finally got my writing blog together {was supposed to be up 8+ months ago. It averages out to about 8 books a month. So, I'll start June 1 and try to plug out at least 56 books :)

I am at 160 books year to date so far. My list of all books read is here. I have posted reviews on most, and have them scheduled every other day from now until end of August already.

Managed 55 books, which I am pretty proud of given the work/school/life balance I have going on. That is a little over 1 book a week and I hope to keep the pace up next year.
