1. The goal is to read 12, 25, 50, or 100 books from your local library. Anyone can join. You don't need a blog to participate. Non-Bloggers: Post your list of books in the comment section of the Post Your Reviews post.
2. Any book from your local library counts.
3. No need to list your books in advance. You may select books as you go. Even if you list them now, you can change the list if needed.
4. Crossovers from other reading challenges count.
5. Challenge begins January 1st and continues through the end of December, 2011.
6. When you sign up under Mr. Linky, put the direct link to your post where your books will be listed. Include the URL to this post so that other viewers can find this fun challenge. If you’d prefer to put your list in the sidebar of your blog, please leave your viewers the link to the sign up page. Again, so viewers can join the challenge too.

I love this challenge, and look forward to it.
Sounds like fun! :o) I can't wait to get started.
I enjoyed this last year and can't wait to start again!

I'm game! I read so much, I actually want to count how many books I read. Great challenge!
OK I've entered this one too.
Thanks for hosting this one, I hope to read at least 25 library books this year.
I managed 30+ books last year, and I didn't start until late in the year, so I'll aim for 50 and see how well I do!
Thanks for hosting! It's a great challenge!
Great challenge! Getting started now! Thanks!!
Entered! Read 57 in last years challenge.
This was fun last year. I'd love to support our new library this year!
2010, only managed 74 library books, out of the 100+, so am in for a second attempt.

I love my local library and most of my reading material (audio, paper, and ebooks) come from there. Last year, I read 132 books... 120 were library books. :-)
Count me in! I love borrowing books from my local library.
:o)

I'm doing it again so I can redeem myself. This time I won't bite off more than I can chew...I'm in for 25 library books.
Thanks for a great challenge! As a former librarian I still get a majority of my reading material from the library...I look forward to tracking this challenge this year.

Count me in! I spend half my life at my local library or the one at school.
Great challenge!
I just stumbled upon your blog and I'm so excited to find more people as nuts about reading as I am!
I have been keeping lists for years of the books I read, I'm always around 100 a year and most are from my local library.
Love, love, love the library.
My local have just emailed to tell me Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell is waiting for me..... Book 1 of the challenge.
As a children's librarian, I love this challenge! THANK YOU for loving your library!
Yay! So happy to see this post! I participated last year, and am looking forward to doing so again this year.
But I've decided to concentrate more on reading the piles of books I already own, so I won't be attempting as high a level this time around. Probably 25 books (instead of 50).
I apologize if this comment posts multiple times; I'm having internet issues. :(
I practically live at the library -- but this will be a challenge for me! I'm looking forward to borrowing more books this year! ^_^
I'm so glad that you're doing this challenge again - thank you! I...didn't reach my target last year :( So...this year I've reduced my target to 25! Fingers crossed!
This is my first year doing this. Love the idea since I'm at the library every week. Thanks for hosting this!
I've just signed up, J. Kaye! I'm excited to be doing this challenge again this year.
I just joined the list! Very excited for this. I'm already halfway through my first one. :)
Love the challenge.. Thanks..
We're heavy library users - and heavy library fine payers. :)
Thank you for hosting this!
I don't understand how to sign up...do I have to have a blog? Where do I link to if I don't have a blog or website?
I didn't meet my goal last year, so I'm going to try for a modest dozen this year.
I know I'm late - but I just signed up and am going to go for 25 books. I love the library, so I think I still may be able to pull it out! Thanks for hosting!!
Kris @ Reading on Planet Caddick (I wish I knew how to make a link)
I wasn't sure where to put this but I finished!
My books can be found at http://readingonplanetcaddick.blogspot.com/p/my-2011-reading-challenges.html
You have to scroll down a little.
I just finished my 12 library book. I put the link to my page where the books are listed in Mr. Linky and from my page you can click to my reviews. Or you can click here.
I'm a little late to sign up for this year, seeing as how it's November now, but I've read 34 books from my library this year and I'm about to start #35. I'll certainly have another 3 or 4 to add to that by the end of the year too.
If you're hosting this challenge again next year, I'll certanily sign up for it! :)
On a seperate note, whenever I finish a book of my own that I'm not keeping, I donate it to a local library which has had no spending budget for the last few years and it doesn't look like their situation will be changing any time soon. Over the last year or so, I've donated over 300 books to this library and I feel so good about it! :)
